The series of these beautiful small-scale stones was initiated when Mr. Reimann began to experiment with the sand-carving process in the mid-1980s.

A growing demand for these stones--each unique, with its design crafted to fit the individual qualities of the naturally shaped stone--resulted in larger, more ambitious pieces, now lodged in numerous private collections.
