For six decades, Will has produced sculpture in his trademark Plexiglas™ & steel; stone; wood; metal; and glass, along with the beautiful drawings that support and inform them. "I know," Will likes to say, "that some, at least, of the work I have made looks like nothing produced by other artists."
Will's work was embraced in the 1950s and 60s for its innovation and embrace of modern materials. Through the 70s, 80s, and 90s, his energy was focused on increasingly grand sculptures in these materials. The 90s and first two decades of the 21st century saw a shift to works in metal, stone, glass, and wood. How to best represent the great variety of his works remains a challenge. This page exists to as both an overview of, and an archive of, his work. |
