Drawings

Mr. Reimann's drawings are in many private collections and museums, including The National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. ( J.D. Hatch Collection of American Drawings). He prefers to draw "on site," from life, using such media as graphite pencils, ink, and ink wash.

These drawings (all private collections) were drawn on site at the Philadelphia Zoo. Reimann's command of anatomy combines with his technical mastery and humor to create these lively, intimate 'portraits.'

Formal Studies

This drawing shows how completely Reimann conceives his large scale plexiglas and steel sculptures before putting them into production.
