River Roundies

Maine sea-washed granite cobbles
other natural stone materials
sand-blast

The series of these beautiful, intimately-scaled stones (many of a size comfortable to be held in the hand) was initiated when Will began to experiment with the sand-blast process in the mid-1980s.

The demand for these stones--each unique, with its design crafted to fit the individual, natural qualities each stone--resulted over time in larger, more ambitious pieces.  Still, Will enjoys very much working in this smaller scale.
